The apparel industry is an excellent example of how transformative conscious consumption can be.
While learning about the complexities of the apparel industry and the ways to reduce the harmful impact, I’ve created many pieces from recycled materials

At its worst, the fashion industry causes a great deal of harm to planetary health, which is the intersection of ecological and human health. There is harm done in polluting water, contributing plastic and textile waste to landfill, allowing for worker exploitation, and encouraging a culture of extraction and mindless consumption.
At its best, the fashion industry utilizes innovative materials to create lasting, quality products that are able to not only exist, but persist in a circular economy, generating value many times over for both the brand and the conscious consumer.
This shift is powerful and has far reaching effects.
